I JUST CALLED TO SAY I LOVE YOU ~ STEVIE WONDER

"I Just Called to Say I Love You" is a song, produced by Lionel Richie but written and performed by Stevie Wonder. The midtempo song expresses how simply telephoning someone to convey one's love for them can make even a very unremarkable day rewarding. It is one of Wonder's most simplistic and sentimental songs, and, with its quintessentially mid-1980s synthesizers and drum machines, is very different from his more organic and experimental 1970s music. For those reasons it was deprecated by critics. However, it was one of Wonder's most commercially successful singles to date. On June 27, 2009, two days after the death of Wonder's friend Michael Jackson, he was at a public event, and changed the words to the song so that it said: 'Michael knows, I'm here, and I love you'. While singing, his voice cracked several times, and at the end of the song he pointed to the sky, and quietly said 'We love you, Michael'. The song was first featured in the 1984 comedy The Woman in Red along with two other songs by Wonder and scored number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks from October 13, 1984 and also became Wonder's only solo UK number-one success, staying at the top for six weeks. It also became his tenth number-one on the R&B chart and his fourth number-one on the adult contemporary chart. In addition, the song won both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The song has two verses and a chorus, with each of the verses divided further into two half-verses. Each half-verse and the chorus have sixteen measures. The protagonist of the song reinforces the message of the song's title (and chorus) by negating all major special times of the year. The song concludes with a triple-chord, or cha-cha-cha, ending.

Hypnosis for Weight Loss?

There are many ways developed to promote Weight loss but only few are said to be effective. There are what so called "alkaline diet", there's also what we called "After Six Diet" where a person will try to avoid eating meals after 6 in the afternoon. There also what so called "Banana Diet" where they only eat banana as their main meal which sounds not so healthy for me. According to the experts, it is not advisable to skip meals in order to lose weight, it is all about the proper choose of foods. Avoid eating fatty foods and minimize sweets. Keep regular exercise. If you want, you can also take some dietary supplement or diet pills to help you lose weight much faster. You can also try taking appetite suppressant to keep your self away from those hard to resist temptations. I saw another way of losing weight online which really took my interest. They are calling it as hypnosis weight loss. I never thought that they can use hypnosis for weight loss. I do not know how exactly it works but after searching some forum sites, this program received a lot of positive reviews which indicates that the process is really effective for weight loss. Maybe I'll try this next time and see how hypnosis can help me to lose weight.

"Footloose" is a single by Kenny Loggins which spent three weeks at number one, March 31—April 14, 1984 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and was the first of two number-one hits from the motion picture, Footloose. The music video features several scenes from the film, in particularly the warehouse where Kevin Bacon's character performs an unorchestrated dance routine (which was actually performed to a different song in the film itself). The lyrics describe a young man who can't stop dancing and he encourages others to do the same: 'Cut Footloose' as the chorus suggests. The song was very well received, and is one of the most recognizable song recorded by Loggins. When the American Film Institute released its AFI's 100 Years…100 Songs, "Footloose" reached the 96th position. The song was nominated for an Academy Award but lost to "I Just Called to Say I Love You" by Stevie Wonder.

Completely Done

You guys are aware about the recently done renovation in our house. I am so happy to tell you that we are completely done with it. All rooms have been painted and all things that have to be replaced and fixed are done. We also bought new set of furniture for our living and dining room. I thought the renovation will took forever. I remember how irritated I am to see all those mess while the renovation is going on. Not to mention the non-stop banging of hammer from here and there. But the long wait is truly worth it as we see the very satisfying outcome of it. However, i am not in favor with the wooden furniture bought by my dad. I guess, we should have bought modern and contemporary furniture instead. And it is also quite conflicting to the modern lighting that we have in our living room. Anyway, i guess it is too late for me to complain. Maybe i will just convince them to replace it whenever they decided to make another renovation in our house. Wish me luck!

House Renovation

If you are following me on my Twitter account, you must be aware that we just had a house renovation. It has been an ongoing renovation for almost two months. We added another room near the living room and change the paint color inside. Our mom let us choose what color should be painted in out rooms. I chose light blue because it is my favorite color. My mom decided to paint the living room with dark orange, making the living room quite dark. To bring some light, she decided to put additional light fixtures inside and she is about to place more! She actually asked me to check some stylish home lighting over the net. She does not know how to operate the computer that’s why she always asks someone to do it for her. Anyway, i found a site that offers a huge collection of stylish lighting. I guess I have to show them to my mom first and let her decide about it. If you are interested you can check the site at www.lighting.lamplick.com and see what else the site has to offer.

My Uncle James

My Uncle James went to our house yesterday for dinner and i grabbed that opportunity to invite him to play our favorite USA casinos. He's also a casino lover like me. In fact, he is the first one who introduces me such games. I find the game quite interesting because unlike any other video games, online casino offers more intense, more exciting, and more thrilling gaming experience. It is mainly because you will be dealing with real money here. I never been into a real life casino but Casino games and their rules are not so new to me anymore because of playing such games online. Anyway, my uncle James and I had so much fun yesterday and I told him to visit us if he have time and play online casino with me again.

My Favorite Casino Game

I never been into any Casino but their games are not so new to me anymore as i usually play them online. One of my favorite games is Roulette because it is very simple and easy to play and it does not require any skill and technique in order for you to win. You just have to guess what will be the winning number is or you also have a chance to guess for the winning color which is either red or black. Even though it doesn't require any skills and techniques, you can still maximize your chances of winning by applying some effective strategies. I guess the main key here is to establish "concentration" , focusing on how to win the bet and not how to beat the other players. Over all, i enjoy playing online casino win or lose!

IF ~ BREAD

"If" is a song written by American singer-songwriter David Gates in 1971. Originally popularized by his group Bread, the song charted at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 when released as a single in 1971. The song also spent three weeks at number one on the Easy Listening chart . It was quickly covered by other singers (including Petula Clark, Cleo Laine, Frank Sinatra, Jack Jones, Perry Como , Telly Savalas, Shirley Bassey, Westlife and Frankmusik). It was also covered by Damien Leith on his album Catch the Wind: Songs of a Generation, which was released in 2008. The Telly Savalas version reached number one on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in March 1975, and has the shortest title of any song to reach number one. "If" has been a perennial favorite at weddings (for example, as a first-dance song) ever since it was released. It was also recorded, as an album track, by Scott Walker in his early 1970s MOR period. This song is often of interest to guitarists because of the unique tremolo/wah-wah effect on the electric guitar in the intro. One San Diego, California radio station in the early 1970s reported that the effect took months to produce. However, Bread used that effect live when playing the song in their concerts.

From Roots to Riches

Beyonce Knowles is one of my favourite female artists along with Diana Ross, Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, Bette Midler, and Alanis Morissette. If there’s a “root to riches” story to inspired with, that would be Beyonce’s success story. Beyonce started from scratch, joining local dancing and singing competitions until being discovered in a Star Search. Beyonce togteher with her childhood friends Kelly Rowland and LaTavia Roberson formed a singing group and named themselves as "The Destiny's Child". It was said that the name of their group was taken from the passage from the Book of Isaiah in the Bible. Destiny's Child rose to fame in the late 90's and Early 2000s. Beyonce decided to build a solo career after the group disbanded. Beyonce earned a lot of awards and nominations, making her one of the most successful female artists of all time. Ever since she stepped on the limelight, people track even her personal life and career. She was married to rapper Jay Z and there are now rumors that Byonce is having her first baby. I went to voteroll.com to confirm this issue and the Vote roll shows that a lot of Beyonce's fan and paparazzi strongly believe that the issue about Beyonce's Pregnancy is true. Well if it is true, i will be more than happy for her.

YOU RAISE ME UP ~ JOSH GROBAN

**************************
Bluedreamer's Choice No 30
**************************

You Raise Me Up" is a popular song in the inspirational mould. The music was written by Secret Garden's Rolf LĆøvland and the lyrics by Brendan Graham. The song has now been covered more than 125 times. The song was originally written as an instrumental piece and titled "Silent Story." The melody is based on a traditional Irish tune (especially the opening phrase of its chorus), the Londonderry Air, which is best known as the usual tune to the 1910 song Danny Boy. LĆøvland approached Irish novelist and songwriter Brendan Graham to write the lyrics to his melody after reading Graham's novels[2]. It was originally released on the 2002 Secret Garden album "Once in a Red Moon," with the vocals sung by Irish singer Brian Kennedy, and sold well in both Ireland and Norway. Originally, Brian Kennedy was supposed to follow Secret Garden on their Asian tour in 2002, but fell ill, and could not attend. He was replaced by Norwegian singer Jan Werner Danielsen, who also later recorded the song together with Secret Garden, but it was never released. British singer Becky Taylor covered the song on her sophomore album Shine (01 July 2003). The song was subsequently recorded by Daniel O'Donnell in 2003 and was a hit throughout Ireland and the UK. Later in 2003, David Foster decided to produce the song after being introduced to it by Frank Petrone of peermusic, the song's publisher. He chose the up-and-coming Josh Groban to record the song, which was accompanied by the great tenor Craig Von Vennik of the Establishment, which proved very popular in the US. His version made it to the top of the Billboard adult contemporary chart and remained there for six weeks. Groban also performed it at Super Bowl XXXVIII, in a special NASA commemoration for the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. A special surprise performance by Groban, for Oprah Winfrey's 50th birthday, also gave "You Raise Me Up" massive international prominence. The Groban recording also was nominated for a 2005 Grammy award. Groban also performed it at the first Idol Gives Back Concert, along with the African Children's Choir. Brian Kennedy re-released the single after performing it at legendary Northern Irish football player George Best's funeral, the song again climbing the UK Charts to No. 4 in January 2006 (named "George Best — A Tribute")
