"(I've Had) The Time of My Life" is a song composed by Franke Previte, John DeNicola, and Donald Markowitz. It was recorded by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, after having been selected to be the finale song for the 1987 film Dirty Dancing by choreographer Kenny Ortega and his assistant Miranda Garrison (who also played Vivian in the film). Due to the massive success of Dirty Dancing, the single topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in November for one week and also went to number one on the Adult Contemporary for four weeks . In the United Kingdom the song had two chart outings. Firstly, in November 1987 after the film's initial release the song peaked at #6, and again when the film was shown on mainstream television the song reached as high as #8 (January 1991).Barry Manilow covered the song on his 2008 album of cover songs, The Greatest Songs of the Eighties.

CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT ~ ELTON JOHN

**************************
Bluedreamer's Choice No 21
**************************

"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" is a song from Disney's 1994 animated film The Lion King, composed by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice. It was described by Don Hahn (the film's producer), Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff (the film's directors) as having "the most diverse history" in the film. It was a chart hit in the UK, peaking at #14 on the UK Singles Chart, and achieved even more success in the U.S., reaching a peak of #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was a number-one hit in France. The song was once planned to be sung only by Timon and Pumbaa, but Elton John disliked the comical nature of the concept, as he had wanted to make a wholly romantic Disney song. It is possible that this version of the song was the one used for The Lion King 1½.

**************************

"Colors of the Wind" by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz was the 1995 Oscar-winner for Best Original Song from the Disney animated feature film Pocahontas. It also won the Golden Globe in the same category as well as the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Movie. The song poetically presents the Native American viewpoint that the earth is a living entity where humankind is connected to everything in nature. The song was performed within the movie's narrative by Judy Kuhn as the singing voice of Pocahontas. Singer/actress Vanessa Williams recorded a version for the end credits which was successfully released as a single and became one of Williams' biggest hits in 1995, earning a Gold single for sales of 500,000 copies, and reaching #4 on the U.S. charts. For her version, Williams received a Grammy nomination as Best Pop Female Vocal Performance in 1996 (she lost to Annie Lennox's "No More I Love You's"). In the song, Pocahontas attempts to explain to John Smith about the wonders of the earth and nature including the spirit within all living things, encouraging him not to think of them as things he can conquer or own, but rather as beings to respect and live with in harmony. She also urges him to accept humans who are different in appearance and culture and to learn from them.

"Hallelujah" is a song written by Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen and originally released on his studio album Various Positions (1984). The song found greater popular acclaim by way of a cover by John Cale, which formed the basis for a later cover by Jeff Buckley. "Hallelujah", in its original version, is a song in "12/8 feel", which evokes the styles of both waltz and gospel music. Written in the key of C major, the chord progression follows the lyric "it goes like this, the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, and the major lift": C, F, G, A minor, F. In 2004, Buckley's version was ranked number 259 on Rolling Stone's "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The same year Time called Buckley's version "exquisitely sung", observing "Cohen murmured the original like a dirge, but ... Buckley treated the ... song like a tiny capsule of humanity, using his voice to careen between glory and sadness, beauty and pain... It's one of the great songs."The Buckley version has been widely featured in film and television dramas, including the series The West Wing, Crossing Jordan, Without a Trace, The O.C., Scrubs, House, Criminal Minds, ER, Third Watch, Ugly Betty and LAX, and the films Feast of Love, The Edukators, Vinterkyss and Lord of War.On American Idol, season 7 fourth place winner Jason Castro performed this song twice in 2008 and it appears on his 2010 eponymous debut album. In season 9, Tim Urban performed the song, earning enough votes to make the finals, and fellow contestant Lee DeWyze performed this song in the Top 3 on May 18, 2010.

COATS OF MANY COLORS ~ DOLLY PARTON

**************************
Bluedreamer's Choice No 17
**************************

"Coat of Many Colors" is a song by Dolly Parton, which she has described on numerous occasions as her favorite of the songs she has written. She composed the song in 1969, while traveling with Porter Wagoner on a tour bus. (She explained in her 1994 memoire, "My Life and Other Unfinished Business", because she could find no paper, as the song came to her, she wrote it on the back of a dry cleaning receipt from one of Wagoner's suits; when the song became a hit, Wagoner had the receipt framed.) She recorded the song in April 1971, making it the title song for her Coat of Many Colors album. Released as single in August 1971, the song reached #4 on the U.S. country singles charts. The song tells of how Parton's mother stitched together a coat for her daughter out of rags given to the family. As she sewed, she told her child the biblical story of Joseph and his Coat of Many Colors. The excited child, "with patches on my britches and holes in both my shoes," rushed to school, "just to find the others laughing and making fun of me" for wearing a coat made of rags. Shania Twain recorded a cover version of the song on the 2003 Parton tribute album Just Because I'm a Woman: Songs of Dolly Parton, with accompaniment by Alison Krauss and Union Station. In 2008, Kristy Lee Cook performed this song on American Idol (season 7) during Dolly Parton week.

THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC ~ ABBA

**************************
Bluedreamer's Choice No 16
**************************

"Thank You for the Music" was the twenty-sixth and final UK single for Swedish pop group ABBA. "Thank You for the Music" had actually been recorded six years earlier, in 1977, and was featured on the group's LP The Album. "Thank You for the Music" also formed part of ABBA: The Movie. It was however released as an A-side single in South Africa where it peaked at number 2 in August 1978 and became the 18th best selling single for that year. Agnetha Fältskog performed the lead vocal, with Anni-Frid Lyngstad joining in on the chorus. "Thank You for the Music" was intended to form part of a "mini-musical" called "The Girl with the Golden Hair" (a phrase which is featured in the song) that songwriters Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson included in ABBA's 1977 tour. "Thank You for the Music" was released only in the UK at the time, peaking at a lowly No.33, despite being released in both a poster sleeve and a picture disc in addition to the regular version. The low chart placing could be attributed to ABBA's declining popularity since their last Top 10 hit in 1981. But also, because of the song's inclusion on The Album and Greatest Hits Vol.2 (both of which topped the UK charts), as well as being performed by the band during their world tours, it can be said that "Thank You for the Music" had been heard by fans and the like many times up to this point. The title itself is often also taken to signal the end of ABBA, leading it to be considered a farewell song.

Organizing a Trade Show

Working as a part time event organizer is not that easy. This is what i have realized after helping my cousin in his business and i really has so much fun. As an event organizer, as what the term suggests, my main job is to organize the entire event. I am the one who will think about the every single details especially the venue of the event. Most of the events that my cousin and I were handling are birthdays, anniversaries, wedding reception and graduation ball. But among all the events that we handled together, I really had so much fun organizing a trade exhibits because I am the first one who has given an opportunity to see the items to be used for exhibit before anybody else. For those who are not familiar with trade show exhibits, Trade show exhibits are used at a variety of events to present products, ideas, build awareness and more. The first trade show exhibits that I have encountered ever since I started to become an event organizer was a school science trade show exhibit where all students from different grade levels will present their creative invention.
Organizing such event is not that easy because your responsibilities are to protect not just the items but also the visitors. This is the reason why we are placing crowd control equipments to make it easy for us to organize the event. Preparation for a trade show exhibit is not as easy as what you think because we are carrying a lot of responsibilities. We have to provide a proper public guidance by placing stanchions and velvet rope in the area to prevent any possible stampede or other related incidences.
If the crowd is really huge and it is impossible to handle by a single person, then we will put barricades if it is really necessary. Anyway, I really enjoyed working with my cousin as a part time event organizer. It’s tough yet fun and exciting. Actually, we he is now scheduled to handle another school event this coming school year. I know he will contact me again and ask for my help. I am so excited about it! By the way, if you are planning to organize your own trade shows, you can actually do it without an event organizer to guide you. I found a website that offers all you need for an event like this. If you are interested, you can visit them at http://www.camelbackdisplays.com/

My Stress Reliever

It’s been a tough week for me because my boss just gave me tons of works to do. Actually, right now, i still have pending paper works left in my office. I can say that even though i am working in a highly compensated company, i gained nothing but stress. My ultimate stress reliever is to play with my dog Snoopy, a Labrador. Another way to keep myself away from stress is by playing my favorite On line casino. I love playing Roulette because it is very simple compare to other games like Poker. You do not have to apply any skills or techniques here because roulette is a game of chance and everything here is just a matter of luck. You just have to guess what will be the winning number and that’s it! Once the ball falls into your number, you will be declared as the winner. So every time i feel so stressed, i just open my Pc and play Roulette to recreate myself. How about you? What do you do when you’re stressed?

HAND IN MY POCKET ~ ALANIS MORISSETTE

**************************
Bluedreamer's Choice No 12
**************************

"Hand in My Pocket" is a song written by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard, and produced by Ballard for Morissette's third album, Jagged Little Pill (1995). It was released as the album's second single in 1995 (see 1995 in music) and became Morissette's second number-one hit on Billboard's U.S. Modern Rock Tracks chart. "Hand in My Pocket" also received substantial airplay on pop radio, reaching the top five on the Top 40 Mainstream chart, but its success in the United Kingdom was limited. The chorus of "Hand in My Pocket" utilized a poetry technique, "rhyme juxtaposition" (utilized by authors such as Lewis Carroll and musicians such as Bob Dylan and John Lennon), as its primary lyrical structure, as exemplified by the off-set coupling of the first and second stanzas of each chorus. In the first chorus for example, "fine, fine, fine" is coupled with "a high five", when it should, according to traditional rhyming schemes, be instead set against the "a peace sign" which closes the third chorus, and which is in turn, coupled with a first line ending with the phrase, "a cigarette", which is a clear rhyme with the end of the second chorus: "out just yet". While Morissette does not carry the scheme consistently throughout the song (there are, for instance, no rhymes for "hailing a taxicab" or "playing the piano"), it is, nonetheless, a fairly sophisticated literary device. American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox covered the song as a short cut in an early round of her Idol performances.

BUTTERFLY KISSES ~ BOB CARLISLE

**************************
Bluedreamer's Choice No 11
**************************

"Butterfly Kisses" a pop song by Bob Carlisle and Randy Thomas from Carlisle's third studio album Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace). Carlisle's rendition of the song entered five different Billboard format charts in the United States, becoming a Number One single on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song also received a Dove Award for Song of the Year, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Country Song. It is also Carlisle's only chart single. Despite the huge airplay Carlisle's version was receiving on pop radio stations, it did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Based on Billboard's rules at the time, a song had to be released as a single in a commercially available format before it could chart on the Hot 100. That rule was later changed in 1998 when the Hot 100 started to allow airplay-only songs. Carlisle also wrote a journal entitled Butterfly Kisses for fathers and their daughters. Westlife also covered the song in the Deluxe edition of their album The Love Album.

"Jesus, Take the Wheel" is a song written by Brett James, Hillary Lindsey and Gordie Sampson. It is the first single from Carrie Underwood's debut album, Some Hearts. The ballad tells of a woman seeking help from Jesus in an emergency, ultimately letting Jesus take control of her life. The Country-Christian song became a crossover hit, spending time at No. 1 on the Country chart and doing well on other charts. The song tells the story of a mother who lives a hectic life. On a late-night Christmas Eve drive on a snow-covered road on her way to Cincinnati, Ohio, the woman begins sorting out her emotions and bemoans not having enough time to do the things that really matter. Then, her car hits a patch of black ice, causing the woman to lose control of her car. She panics, takes her hands off the steering wheel and cries out to Jesus; shortly thereafter, the car stops spinning and safely stops on the shoulder. After taking stock of the situation (and seeing that her baby has remained fast asleep in the rear seat), the woman decides to let "Jesus take the Wheel" of her life.
