"You're the Voice" is a song written by Andy Qunta, Keith Reid, Maggie Ryder and Chris Thompson for John Farnham, which he recorded for his sixteenth album Whispering Jack released in 1986. The song was awarded the 1987 Aria Award for "Single of the Year". The song was one of the biggest hits of the year in Australia, topping the singles chart there for many weeks. It is also one of Farnham's biggest international successes, reaching the top 10 in many European countries, although in the US it performed relatively poorly. BMG/RCA re-released the song in the US in February 1990, after Farnham made the Adult Contemporary charts with "Two Strong Hearts". It spent 8 weeks on the charts, peaking only at #82.The power metal band Blind Guardian covered the song on their 2010 album At the Edge of Time. Also covering this song is Essex metal band Forever Never for their exclusive EP "I Can't Believe Its Not Metal"

"A Little Too Not Over You" is the official second single by American Idol Season 7 runner up David Archuleta taken from his self-titled debut album. A music video was shot with director Scott Speer in late November. The video premiered on December 15, 2008 on Yahoo! Music. It features Archuleta looking through pictures on a camera which is an Exilim S10, and reflecting on a relationship with a girl. The video became available for download on iTunes on December 23, 2008. It released to radio on January 6, 2009. On the Radio Disney Music Mailbag, this song got 99% of the votes to pick it. Archuleta confirmed the song's release on his official MySpace page.

"Crush" is the first single by American Idol season seven runner-up David Archuleta. It was first released to radio stations via New York City's radio station Z100 on August 1, 2008, and commercially in the United States on August 12, 2008, through digital distribution. "Crush" was produced by Emanuel Kiriakou and co-written by Kiriakou, Jess Cates and Dave Hodges. "Crush" was met with positive reviews by many critics. Chuck Taylor of Billboard praised it for being a suitable match for Archuleta, citing it as a "hummable, age-appropriate midtempo pop ditty for the 17-year-old, showcasing his fine mass-appeal vocal stylings with creamy harmonies and some nice falsetto effects." He also predicted chart success for the song, saying "'Crush' is likely to put its money where its title is on the charts." This was the highest entry for a song on the Hot 100 in 2008 and the highest for any song on this chart since Fall Out Boy's "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race", which also entered the chart at #2 in the chart week of February 3, 2007.
