"Home" is a 2007 song by American rock band Chris Daughtry from their self titled debut album. The song had been climbing up the U.S. charts for a few weeks before the song was announced as second single (possibly due to its use on American Idol as the show's "vote off" song). "Home" charted on the Hot 100 weeks before its release as a single, and has since become the band's second top five single on the chart, reaching #5 on the Hot 100. The song reached the number three position on iTunes. In addition the song has topped both the Adult Top 40 and the Adult Contemporary Tracks charts, spending ten consecutive weeks at #1 on the Adult Top 40 (outlasting "It's Not Over", which spent nine weeks at #1 on the chart), as well as becoming the band's first #1 on the AC chart, where it also spent ten non-consecutive weeks at #1. The song became an unexpected hit on the Christian charts as well, reaching #12 on Hot Christian Songs. It was also a top five hit on the Canadian Hot 100. The song has sold 1,300,000 digital downloads to date. The single was certified Platinum by the RIAA in late January 2008.
